Terms & Conditions

DISCLAIMER

Low Energy Supermarket assumes no responsibility and shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by, or resulting from, misapplication of any product sold by this company. Our products are sold with the express understanding that the purchaser and/or users are thoroughly familiar with the correct application and proper care. It is the purchasers' and users' responsibility to determine the suitability of a product for any particular use.  Check all applicable industry, trade association, county and local regulations. Read and understand all cautions and warnings before ordering. All prices are subject to change without notice. All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge. Errors may occur in product descriptions, prices and photos are subject to correction. Reproduction or distribution of any content within this site is forbidden without the written permission from Low Energy Supermarket. Returned items with signs of abuse or intentional damage will be refused and returned to the sender at senders' cost.

CONTRACT

Your order is an offer to buy from us. Nothing that we do or say will amount to any acceptance of that offer until we actually despatch an item to you, at which point a contract will be made between us. At any point up until then we may decline to supply an item to you. If we decline to supply an item to you and you have already paid for it, we will give you a full refund of any amount already paid for that item.

Low Energy Supermarket Ltd complies with the Consumer Contract (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 which replaced the previous Distance Selling Regulations.  Under these regulations we include all pre-contract information relating to payment, delivery and complaints procedure. In accordance with these regulations a 14 days cancellation/ cooling off period is included with all sales.

RETURNS

Items should be checked as soon as possible following receipt of goods. Returns will be accepted up to 14 days after the date you receive the purchase.

Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receipt of the returned item for unwanted goods & 30 days for faulty/damaged goods.  
Any goods returned with signs of abuse or intentional damage will be refused and returned to the sender at senders' cost.

REFUND POLICY

If you wish to cancel an order for any item, you are very welcome to return them to us within the 14 days cooling off period from the day after the day that you receive the goods. Items will only be accepted if they are a) unused and b) in the same good condition that they were delivered in. This is in accordance with current consumer regulations.

You will be liable for the return costs of delivery and a refund for the goods only will be made to you within 15 days of receipt of the item. 

CONFIRMATION OF ORDER

Your order will be confirmed by email normally within 24 hours, but not longer than 72 hours, of receipt of your order over the Internet. 
Credit/Debit card are debited by the person placing the order at the time they place the order, NOT when the goods are sent.

DELIVERY

We Aim to keep you informed all the way through the delivery process. Once your order has been received, you will receive an automatic email confirming that we are processing your order and another once the goods have been dispatched.

What happens if items go missing in the post?*

If items go missing in the post, Royal Mail terms and conditions state "No claims can be made until 15 working days has passed from the date of posting" after the 15 days has elapsed we will send another order and make a claim at the post office - the second order will be marked "2nd Order" just in case the first one turns up. 

*Unfortunately, we are unable to send out duplicate orders if the incorrect address was supplied by the customer. Royal mail will not allow any claims due to a customer’s mistake.

DELIVERY TIMES. 

All goods are normally dispatched within 1-2 working days.  The customer has the option of several postage methods including Royal Mail 24 & 48 hour UK Service.  There are also express fully tracked UK shipping options for next day delivery, subject to order receipt cut-off of 12 noon. Any items received after 12 noon maybe dispatched the next day.  Some big and bulky items like insulation materials will have longer delivery periods up to 10 days. European and international postal services are also offered which clearly state estimated delivery periods.  We cannot guarantee next day, 24 & 48hr delivery times offered by shipping companies.  Once the goods are dispatched from our warehouse, they are in the hands of the relevant delivery company and subject to their terms and conditions.

PAYMENT & RECEIPTS

We can only accept a maximum value of £500 on any card payments. For orders over £500 you must use Paypal or BACS transfer. If you would like to send money via BACS please telephone us on 0844 800 1018 for our account details.

We use SagePay and/or Paypal depending upon what you choose at checkout to collect/process our payment transactions securely.

WARRANTY

LED light bulbs and lighting products are classed as ‘consumable’ items which mean there is not a requirement to supply a warranty. We do however; supply all of our products with 90 days warranty from the date of purchase (unless otherwise stated). All other claims outside this period are at our discretion.

FAULTY /MISSING /INCORRECT GOODS

Force Majeure. No liability will be accepted by LowEnergySupermarket for any failure or delay in performance which is wholly or partially due to an Act of God, War, Fire, Explosion, Riot, Civil Commotion, Restriction by Government or other competent authority, Strikes, Lock Outs, Failure in supplies or to any cause whatsoever beyond our control.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

Any query or complaint will be dealt with immediately. It will be acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within this time frame whenever possible, but not longer than 30 working days. Please email sales@lowenergysupermarket.com

OUR RIGHTS

We reserve the right to change, modify, substitute or remove without notice any information on this website. Prices, goods and availability of products are subject to change at any time. Low Energy Supermarket also reserves the right to withdraw its service at any time, to refuse the service to any customer and to amend these Terms & Conditions, all at any time without notice.

APPLICABLE LAW

These conditions shall be construed according to and governed by UK Laws.


None of our Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

ILLEGAL ACTS

It is a crime to use a false information or a known invalid credit card to order any goods. Anyone caught willfully entering an erroneous or fictitious order will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
